ISFA Announces
Dynamic Conference Program
For ICE - The International
Countertop Expo
Lehi, Ut. -- The
International Surface Fabricators
Association (ISFA) has announced a
comprehensive conference program to
be held in conjunction with the
International Countertop Expo (ICE),
which premiers February 8-10 at
Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
The program will include sessions on
everything from marketing on a
budget, to bonding dissimilar
surfaces to setting up a concrete
shop, shop layout and installation
techniques just to name a few. A
highlight of the program will be a
two-part session on Emerging
Products, which will give attendees
a look at new materials and their
properties.
“The ICE conference program has been
engineered with the countertop
fabricator in mind. The Conference
Advisory Council has done an
excellent job of putting their feet
in the fabricators shoes, which has
allowed them to provide content that
will benefit attendees the most,”
said Sandy Milroy, ISFA Director of
Membership Services & Events.
“We have been working with an
extremely energetic Advisory
Council, made up of industry
leaders, fabricators and vendors
with experience in every type of
countertop fabrication. I have been
involved in event and conference
planning for twelve years, and never
have I seen such a dedicated and
energized group of individuals
working together on a program.”
Advisory Council Members include
Chairman Evan Kruger of Solid Tops
LLC, Dave Paxton of Paxton
Countertops, Mark Gunther of Buddy
Rhodes Artisan Concrete, Gene
McDonald of Refresh Interiors, Lane
Mangum of the Concrete Countertop
Institute, Bob Paradiso of Vetrazzo,
Jon Olson of Sterling Surfaces,
Bryan Stannard of ITW Plexus and
Kirk Olsen of Tuscan Stoneworx.
“These conferences are geared to
bring fabricators up to date on the
latest products and fabrication
ideas,” said Russ Lee, executive
director of ISFA. “If you want to
learn from other fabricators and
industry professionals who work with
products outside your area of
expertise, this is the place for
you.”
Since ISFA restructured in December
of 2008 to embrace all types of
decorative surfacing materials, the
association has put a priority on
incorporating essential information
on the full gamut of surfacing
options. As a result, with so many
focused seminars packed into a
three-day period, there is a lot to
see and learn for one individual.
“This is a situation where it
definitely makes sense to bring more
than one person from your company in
order to take advantage of all the
learning and networking
opportunities,” continued Lee. “The
ICE conference program has been
structured to offer discounts for
multiple attendees from the same
shop, which only increases its value
to your operation. This is
information you can’t afford to
miss. You can’t get any of this on
the Internet.”
